Kris was introduced to DJing at a 2005 battle in Chicago. From that event, he met CJ Buckets, a Chicago-based DJ and friend of his older brother Jon. A friendship developed from their mutual love for 90s hip-hop and house, though neither was the catalyst for Kris’s eventual career in music.

In 2013, Kris earned a Business Management degree from DePaul University, with a concentration in Entrepreneurship, and quickly took an IT sales job that was both lucrative and secure. However, one year later he attended Spring Awakening Music Festival and left Soldier Field inspired to become a DJ.

Kris began taking lessons with CJ and practicing heavily in 2014. By late 2015, he had started booking private events and founded the EDM DJ/Production duo BRVTHERS KEEPER, with his younger brother Brian. Together they’ve since played Chicago’s most reputable night clubs and music festivals, including Spring Awakening, and Kris kept his sales job through it all. In January of 2018 he finally quit to focus on his own business.

Combining his knowledge of multi-layered projects with their experience in live music, Kris partnered with his mentor CJ Buckets to establish Best Life Entertainment. As a DJ company, down to the vinyl, Best Life offers a high-energy music experience for weddings and private functions. Through raw ambition and personal commitment, Kris is now the entrepreneur he set out to be — one who can also rock a crowd.
