We offer DJ and Emcee services, which includes an in-depth Music Consultation leading up to your wedding. With this booking, we bring speakers, a DJ console, and a wireless microphone system.
In addition to the reception, we're available to provide these services for your ceremony as well.
Our reception packages start at $1850 for weddings with under 100 guests. This includes DJ and Emcee services, two speakers, a DJ console, and a wireless microphone system. For larger weddings we upgrade the speaker package, which is reflected in the price.

We always start with a Music Consultation Call, which helps us understand your taste as well as your vision for the dance floor.
We then build a collaborative playlist on your preferred streaming service, allowing you to add more song selections as they come to mind. Then it's a matter of organizing the selections to fit the run of the event, so we can maintain a high energy dance floor throughout the entire night.
Based on our music knowledge and DJing experience we'll make recommendations to fill in any potential playlist gaps with proven dance floor classics.
Of course! We've put together 6 short mixes that showcase our skills with blends and transitions across genres. Every wedding set pulls from these in some way, but we always deliver a unique performance based on your song selections.

Our booking includes a DJ console, two speakers, a wireless microphone system, and lights.
We use top of the line brands such as Pioneer DJ equipment, QSC and EV loudspeakers, Shure microphones, and Yamaha mixers. Our equipment is modern and reliable, but we always carry backup solutions should any technical issues arise.
Our DJs have experience playing clubs, music venues, festivals, house parties, block parties, and pretty much everything in between. We all came up with a deep respect for the fundamentals of DJing, developing a core skill set of song selection, blending, and crowd management.

We do. We offer both dance floor lights and uplights.
Dance Floor Lights are used to give a special, club-like feel to your party. There are five fixtures, and we only turn these on during the dancing portion of the evening.
Uplights allow you to better control the mood of the entire room, without having to rely on harsh overhead lighting. These small fixtures are placed on the ground, often lining the perimeter of the venue.
They send a beam of light toward the ceiling, and are used to accentuate wall and décor details, provide depth and character for photo and video shooting, and energize the dance floor with color-changing functionality.
Each Best Life DJ has their own Emcee style, which can vary depending on what the event demands throughout the day. Regardless, our goal is always to be energetic, engaging, and informative.
We want your guests to follow our lead and trust in our ability to rock the party properly, but we only interject when necessary, so our voice doesn't become the center of attention.
We understand emceeing is important for crowd management and keeping the event on schedule, so we make sure to hit our marks from the ceremony through dinner and dancing.
We'll send one of our other DJs to fill in. If no Best Life DJs are available, we'll place another DJ from our Chicago network, which runs deep with talent.
Provided timing allows, we'll have a call with the new DJ, to make sure your comfortable with our selection. We always have at least one DJ on standby that can fill in for any emergencies.
Yes. We require one meal per on-site team member. Typically, we have 2 people on-site during our weddings.
No, we focus on the music. By sticking to our speciality, we're able to deliver a high-energy dance floor experience every time.
If you are interested in additional services such as photo booths or live musicians, we would be happy to refer you to vendors that we’ve worked with in the past.
We are not responsible for playing past our contracted end time. If your friends and family love to dance, we'll help you plan ahead so the party lasts as long as you want.
Yes, we have liability insurance, which covers bodily injury and/or damage to property.
We can provide a certificate of insurance if needed.

Going above and beyond is our standard. Tipping a wedding DJ is optional, but most of our clients choose to do so.
It depends on the distance, but we're always willing to consider.
We charge the following travel fees for weddings that are over 25 miles from our city storage facility, on Jackson and Racine.

Our initial Music Consultation will be a video call, but phone and email are great for day-to-day communication. Feel free to text or call during normal business hours.
Any other substantial discussions about music or event logistics are handled over video call as well. There's usually 3 video calls leading up to your wedding date, including the initial consultation.
Understanding our audience and reading the room are huge factors of any DJ set we play. Through experience, we've become great at assessing event energy and monitoring reactions, with the skills to make necessary adjustments in real time.

The absolute best DJ in Chicago! We could not have been happier with Kris and the entire Best Life Entertainment team. Best Life Entertainment went above and beyond for our wedding, we couldnt have asked for a better crew! After multiple conversations / video chats about the type of music we were expecting for each part of our wedding, they absolutely nailed the whole event.
The dance floor was filled the entire night and I even asked for a request which they mixed in without missing a beat.
Kristian from Best Life Entertainment was the absolute best! He really was there throughout the whole planning process with us, as our first meeting was about a year out from our wedding. He was so easy to talk to and made sure that he really understood our vibe and expectations for our wedding day. Kristian had great communication throughout the time leading up to our wedding, with multiple check-ins and was always available if we had questions.
On our wedding day, he played every song we asked and actually mixed songs. The dance floor was full the entire reception. I didn't even change from my heels until there was only about 20 minutes left of the wedding because I didn't want to leave the dance floor and miss any songs!

...everyone mentioned how much fun they had on the dance floor and that it was hit after hit after hit all night long. As fast as the wedding day goes, we really won't forget being in the middle of the dance floor and everyone around us singing and dancing because the music was just amazing.
We had multiple people ask for his Instagram / contact info. The pricing was competitive and in my opinion money very well spent. CJ went through many details, confirming if we needed extra mics, asked what kind of system the venue had to make sure that they didn't need additional amps, and even included an additional MC so that it wasn't just one person working the event.
Seriously, book them!! You won't regret it and you'll dance your xxx off!
OUTSTANDING!! Our DJ, Kristian, absolutely crushed it. Our friends and family are still telling us what an excellent job he did, and we cannot recommend him enough. My wife has (by her admission) *eccentric* musical tastes, and he wove it all together seamlessly.
Talking to him in the lead-up, and finalizing right before, was a perfectly reassuring experience. Finally, I'll add that he totally controlled the room -- even my rowdy cousins stopped and listened when we has announcing a speaker, a dance, or anything else.

Best Life Entertainment had the perfect DJ for my wedding! DJ Mikey Jukes was amazing! He played all of our requested songs and threw in all the right 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s hits that had our guests dancing the entire night! CJ provided great customer service and communicated everything to me well in advance and helped coordinate everything with the wedding planner.
From the lights to all of the announcements the entire evening went smooth all because of them. Best Life Entertainment exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend for your next event!

I can’t say enough good things about Best Life. They were quick to respond and so easy to work with. Kristian was our main point person and he went above and beyond to make sure that the day went smoothly. The whole process of wedding planning is already stressful (we did it without a wedding planner, and only had 7 months!) but Kristian made sure we had a good timeline and helped walk us through some of the main points. Even suggested a few things based on his experience.
From the first phone meeting to every zoom planning call after, he really helped us and made sure we had everything covered. He checked in constantly during the reception to make sure we were on time and would make sure we were ready for the next thing. Honestly the best DJ and MC group we could have asked for. HIRE THEM!!
Kristian from Best Life absolutely crushed it at our wedding!! If we could give more than 5 stars, we would! Kristian, from day 1, has been so personable when doing consultations all the way through to the end of our wedding night. Music was a big thing for me and my husband and felt like the most stressful portion of planning. Luckily, Kristian was so knowledgable about timing, song choice, and most importantly, mixing the music!
He is definitely not one of those DJs who presses play on a playlist and lets it run. He was accommodating to my guests' song requests and used his discretion on whether or not the songs would fit the atmosphere, and he didn't let songs run too long where people got bored of dancing to the same thing over and over again. He works up the crowd and we couldn't be any more happier with his service!!
We had the privilege of working with Kris and his team and they did an amazing job from start to finish! The communication was great and they were extremely flexible to accommodate all the things that come up on a wedding day.

As an MC, Kris keeps everything fun but also keeps it moving along so to not get too far behind. As a DJ, Kris has such a phenomenal read of the dancefloor. He is able to continuously spin tracks that keep the floor packed and the party rolling - we don't think our floor emptied out once!

Best Life Entertainment was the absolute best investment we made for our wedding. Kris and CJ were a joy to work with. The planning process was organized and clear. They listened extremely well and gave tactful input to help formulate a music plan that matched the vibe we wanted; inclusive of ages and cultures with a few quirky elements to some wedding traditions.
They were responsive to last minute changes and attentive to detail. Kris kept the evening moving and guests informed of what to expect with his emceeing, but when it was time to dance, he didn’t insert himself unnecessarily to inject energy in the room, but instead he let the music speak for itself. His ability to read the room was excellent and he made sure the dance floor was always active. Our dance floor was literally splitting apart because he had everyone dancing so hard! And even for the guests who stepped away from the dance floor, they enjoyed how the music was loud enough to be energetic but still low enough to allow conversation.
Every detail of the sound experience was fantastic. They even took some video, which was especially valuable since we didn't hire a videographer. We highly recommend Best Life Entertainment, especially if you have a unique vision for your wedding or are finicky with music.
I am the type of person who usually does not write reviews, BUT let me tell you hiring Kristian from Best Life Entertainment, was the best decision ever! I just got married on June 3, 2023 and Kris did an incredible job! Not only did he help me plan a timeline but he helped elevate my playlist for the wedding! Our guests could not stop complementing his work. He will make all your guests dance even if they don't!
And Kris highly appreciate you demonstrating us how to slice the cake because nobody else did that for us that day! I highly recommend them and would hire Best Life Entertainment for future events!
